About the Author

Haven Kimmel was (as told before) born in Mooreland, Indiana in 1965. She has written many books include other parts to the Zippy memoir: Something Rising (Light and Swift) and She Got Up Off the Couch. Haven went to college for English and creative writing at Ball State University. Then she went to North Carolina State for her graduates degree and studied with novelist Lee Smith.
